ROB HARTMANN received his MFA from New York University’s Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program, where he was a member of the faculty for 15 years. Rob has had more than a dozen musicals produced across the United States in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Minneapolis, Seattle, and Nashville. In New York, his work has been heard at Carnegie Hall and Avery Fisher Hall. Most-performed works: Vanishing Point, which has had 12 productions in the US and also in Madrid; and Macabaret, which recently saw its 30th production in the US and which won "Best Short Musical" for its production in Spain.
Other projects: for Meat & Potato Theatre of Salt Lake City, Aliens: The Puppet Musical (a parody version of the movie Aliens); Farmers Market the Musical, a community musical which premiered in West Virginia; a commissioned musical for the Monterey Bay Aquarium; songs in the web series Merce; and songs in the upcoming Waiting In the Wings, which will open in Los Angeles in early 2021.
